And given the current Blagojevich scandal, I think another fair question is: "when will gubernatorial appointments to the Senate end?"
Yes! both of those things, the electoral college...they're gateways for corruption, disfranchisement, and corrosion of democracy. I really don't understand why people aren't more upset about stuff like this...
