Chambliss Wins Georgia Senate Runoff
Saxby Chambliss, an incumbent Republican senator, was
re-elected by Georgia voters on Tuesday in a substantial
victory, ending Democratic hopes for a 60-vote majority in
the Senate that would make it difficult for Republicans to
filibuster the Obama administration's legislative agenda.

I'm actually pretty happy the Democrats did not get to 60 - things never go well when one party has that much power, no matter which party it is - but I didn't want it to be this way.
ReplyDeleteI hate Saxby Chambliss. I know I've been over this before, but this is one guy that does not deserve to be a Senator.
I 1000% agree with you (that was an accident, I mean to type "100%," but decided not correct it because THAT'S how much I agree). I probably should have included some caveat about how it's actually for the best that the Dems didn't get a filibuster-proof majority, but Saxby Chambliss is just so purely evil that I was really upset to learn this news either way.
