We beg the world to take that extra second to think.

FYI- The President wrote an article
That's right, we have confirmation that not only can Barack Obama speak, he can also write, an ability that is as yet unconfirmed in our previous commander-in-chief.
Especially as I read this, though also beforehand, I am getting more and more scared that we're in a "wool over our eyes" scenario. This is so much money.
And as I honestly look at it, it really does seem like there's more for liberal spending programs and less for stimulus than I expected. It's not to say those programs (education, health care, etc.) don't necessarily deserve funding, but it's definitely not right to spend $120B on Medicaid and call it a "stimulus" either.
Also, I created a spending summary in Excel, which I then turned into a Google Spreadsheet and linked on the left. #1 was made in GDocs and #2 was imported directly. I doubt there's any difference but either way the indent function does not work so pretend that non-bolded lines are indented.
