Where Do You Get Your News?

I've got a variety of reasons for asking, but I'm looking to improve on my news sources a bit. There's the political ones, and typically I used Yahoo for general news because it was sufficient without doing anything wrong. Well now it's ugly as hell, and I'd like some help.

Here, I'll start. I tend to mostly go to RCP, HuffPo, and Drudge. A few others here and there, but that's the bulk of it (mostly because of the election).

  1. Sorry for my recent absence from the blog; I should be back this weekend.

I get my news from only a few places:
    New York Times
    BBC
    1010 WINS
    RealClearPolitics
    The Week
Al Jazeera (I read this primarily for a less West-focused bias)

  2. Despite its bias/flaws/whatever, I'm NYTimes - obsessed. I read probably a dozen articles a day refresh the front page compulsively. I may have a problem.

Otherwise, I'll poke around the HuffPo blogs and the Chicago Tribune (to see what's going on at home) sometimes. I skim the New Yorker each week. And while it's more certainly not a news source, after reading the news of the day I look forward to watching Stewart and Colbert's takes on it each night.

Few things overwhelm me with rage more than TV news, so I haven't watched it, on any channel, for years.

  3. NYT, 1010wins, BBC, Time Magazine (when/if I get to it), I prefer ABC News if using television or a more mainstream source online, WSJ when my boss prints me articles (everyday)

  4. Google news, Wall Street Journal, NYT, International Herald Tribune (it's like the NYT of Europe), Real Clear Politics, and Bloomberg.com
