    Holy hell. At this point I may be more excited for the VP debate than any of the others. Biden gets to rip apart Obama and himself (in favor of McCain and Hillary, respectively); Palin is forced to speak without a teleprompter about issues such as, oh I don't know...ANY ISSUE WHATSOEVER OTHER THAN THE BRIDGE TO NOWHERE AND THE SHOTGUN WEDDING THE REPUBLICANS ARE PUSHING THROUGH (though this is less important if she has been fed the questions beforehand).

    Side question: now that neither of the VP candidates is in immediate danger of having a heart attack from simply standing in place for more than a short moment, will we be returning to the glorious era of awkward, standing-behind-podium debates? Seriously, considering the demonstrated importance of height in USA elections this should be considered. I understand that the link is discussing presidential heights, but I don't have time to seek out a VP table and writeup.

    Have past campaigns had such trouble with loose talking running mate(s)?
