Billion Dollar Losers

Here's another slideshow, this of the top twenty largest losers in the financial meltdown. While it's hard to feel sorry for anyone who can lose a billion dollars, some of these guys lost substantially more than half their net worth and, well, it's kinda tough not to feel sorry for anyone that happens to.

  1. I really enjoyed this list. I was fascinated by Eddie Lampert's Wikipedia entry solely because of the throwaway line, "In 2003, he was kidnapped from the parking lot of his office, but Lampert convinced his captors to let him go after two days." The citation for the statement links to an article with no more real details about the kidnapping. All I know is that I would be happy to have as CEO of my (imaginary) company anyone who was kidnapped and was able to talk his way out of it.
